Improv for Scientists (and others who want to have fun)

February 6, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 12:50 pm

Free

Story Matters LLC is facilitating a series for improv scientists and those who want to have fun!

“Training scientists to better communicate using the tools of improvisation is not about making them into comedians.”

–Alan Alda, Alda Center for Communicating Science, StonyBrook University

Improvisation is about opening up avenues of right brain thinking, focus, communication and most especially empathy.

Improv aids scientists who need to explain their science to funders, businesses and government and other scientists to pivot on a dime, empowering them to have different kinds of conversations with different kinds of people.

Come play with us! No experience necessary.
